1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Roadster with only 23,945 documented miles. Garage/Barn find! This is not your usual “Barn Find” with lots of “Patina”, which would usually translates into (Needs complete restoration) This car needs nothing, it is the “Real Deal”! I purchased it from the original owner who special ordered it 14th of February 1969 and took delivery of it August 12th 1969 from Lancaster County Motors Inc. He lovingly maintained and cared for it for the ensuing 47 years. It is absolutely stunning in its factory colors of DB670 Light Ivory and DB244 Green full leather interior, 747 dark green soft top and matching Light Ivory hardtop. It is a rare factory 4 speed car with its original matching numbers engine and transmission, as well as correct factory stamped numbers on the hood, conv top cover and hardtop. All 5 steel wheels have proper matching date codes from 1969. It has all original body panels with no rust or accident history, all original correct spot welds and (often duplicated but only original and exactly correct the first time by the factory both front fender notches/accents and mostly original paint. All the chrome trim is original and very nice to excellent condition. The original carpet set is excellent as well with the correct original rubber heel pad in undamaged original condition. All the wood dash trim is also in great original condition. 

But the most amazing thing about this car is the condition of the Leather which is still soft & pliable with no cracks, rips, tears, burns or stain. You just can’t fake original 47 year old leather. The original canvas soft is also soft & pliable. After owning 146 113 SLs since 1973 and working on many for customers over the years we can truly say this is the best original one we’ve seen in the last 25-30 years! It also comes with all its original manuals and books with service stamps and service receipts, original window sticker, order form and dealer invoice! Also included is the pristine original complete tool kit with the water pump pliers still wrapped in wax paper. It even has the original factory leather key fob! If you appreciate an original untouched car as opposed to a restored one this could be the one for you.
