Our Adriatic Blue 914/6 was delivered new in California in April of 1970 where it remained until it was sold to Arizona in 1987. It remained in Arizona for the next 27 years with the same owner until 2014 when it was sold to a Mr. Davison in Gainesville Georgia. That owner sold it to a Mr. McDonnell from London England in January of 2016 who commissioned Gene’s Auto Haven 914 Restorations of Utah to undertake a complete rotisserie restoration of the entire car. Starting with a clean original body with minimal rust issues and matching numbers drivetrain 0934 was carefully disassembled and parts and components were categorized for proper refinishing and replating. The tub was stripped to bare metal and epoxy primed. Mechanicals were sent out to be professionally rebuilt including the original engine, transmission, Weber Carbs, brake components, Suspension etc. All was documented in photos and the results of the restoration are exceptional. Fully sorted and having only 300 miles since the restoration, this 914/6 is ready for its next caretaker. A wonderful car to be driven and enjoyed.
